The Philippine Women’s College of Davao (PWC) is a private non-stock, non-profit, non-sectarian, coeducational institution founded in 1953 by the late Dr. Conrado Benitez and Dr. Francisca TIrona Benitez.

The PWC of Davao prides itself on its motto “Innovation is our Tradition” as it opens its doors to answer the call of a multicultural society in Mindanao. Its view of making its students develop the highest ideals of spiritual development, strong moral character, civic consciousness, academic competence, and love of country is topnotch; and it never fails to promote faithfulness to one’s cultural tradition.

The PWC campus lies in a sprawling seven-hectare land at the heart of Juna Subdivision in Matina, Davao City

Vision

We envision a graduate who is God-loving, academically competent, civic conscious, environmentally and socially concerned, globally competitive, and committed to the promotion of peace.

Mission

  • To Educate – according to the four-fold objective of inculcating good moral character and personality, training for home and family life, preparing for vocation or profession, and developing an aptitude for community participation and leadership.
  • To Contribute – through research and continuous interaction with the community, to the enhancement of the spiritual, social, and economic life in the country and the world at large.
  • To Lead – through pioneering in the field of gender education in the opening of new avenues towards the expansion of knowledge and opportunities, fostering humanism and understanding, while conserving the wisdom and ideals of the ages and integrating the valuable inheritance of Filipino personhood.

ADMISSION Policy

The Philippine Women’s College of Davao is committed to academic excellence and social responsibility. In turn, the college requires from its students a pledge to uphold the academic standards of the college as well as its social and cultural traditions.

Following the academic standards it has set for itself, the school reserves the right to select students for admission. In general, students to be admitted are those with qualities of character, intellect, and personality appropriate to the academic program they have selected.
