City Social Welfare and Development Office - Davao 3

Pursuant to R.A. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of the Philippines of 1991, all programs and services of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) were turned over to the Local Government Units (LGU). In response to the mandate, the City Government of Davao formed the CSSDO.It is the social welfare arm of the City. It is mandated to provide basic social services to the disadvantaged, depressed, oppressed, and exploited citizenry of the city.

It provides comprehensive programs and services to disadvantaged families and communities, promotion of the welfare of women, persons with disabilities, children and youth, and older persons to help them become productive, self-reliant, and ultimately attain a better quality of life.
